You are invited to become member of the Dominican American Midwest
Association (DAMA). Your membership helps DAMA in its mission to
advocate on issues affecting the daily life of all Dominican and
Dominican-American in the Midwest. We offer three types of memberships:
1) Individual Membership, and
2) Student membership, and
3) Organizational Membership.
To
qualify as a student, you must be a currently-enrolled student at an
accredited university and must be at least 18 years of age. As an
individual member, you are entitled to the following:
- Invitation to members-only events.
- Voting privileges during the annual meeting and in other elections.
- DAMA-sponsored research.
- Eligibility to serve on the board of directors.
- Discounted rate to the DAMA Annual Gala Dinner.
Your
membership contribution helps the DAMA to fund events, to sponsor
student activities, and to provide scholarships to deserving students
of Dominican descent. In addition, your membership assists DAMA in
deferring operational costs of running the operations of the
organization, and saving funds for the establishment of a State office.
We are currently seeking 501(c)(3) organization status with the IRS.
Once we have it this year, your membership may be tax deductible (check
with your tax advisor).
- The annual contribution is:
- Individual member : $60
- Student member : $20
- Organizational member : $150
You
can send your membership support to the DAMA by writing a check paid to
the order of the Dominican American Midwest Association and mail it to
DAMA
